project 365 mobile | mono | square | week 19

On Sunday, 14 June 2015, I launched my Project 365.

You can see all the images as they are posted to the mobile | mono | square album on my flickr account.

My plan, let’s see if I can stick to this, is to post a weekly update here each Sunday.

  1. These are once again – truly amazing images …. and I am completely fascinated by “agonized” …. totally gripping how Black and White can really accentuate and define certain characteristics in images …. and the angle of the shot – perspective – totally amazing – plays to the strengths of the sculpture.

And I have to ask “Prepared” …. what exactly is the subject matter …. no matter how I turn my head and examine this image …. I keep seeing “raw meat” – slices of some carcass – or perhaps cow – whether cooked or not … I have no clue … and so am desperately intrigued!

    Great images Andy πŸ˜€

      1. Fascinating – simply because the framing and formatting and black and white makes it appear as something “other” … which … as “odd” a subject matter … forces the mind to stop and consider exactly what one is looking at.

And it also begs the question: why did the photographer choose this subject matter?

(which you aren’t required to answer – unless you wish to)

        1. The choice is made on the fly each day and often reflects a mix of of my mood and surroundings. There is no planning to it at all, unless there is a subliminal theme in the week, which sometimes happens…

          1. thanks for sharing your “technique and approach” Andy … “street photography” is the term that used to be applied to this approach – casual and non-affected – meaning no “setting up of shots” … it’s a really amazing way to just “go out and see the world through a lens” … it as a particularly favourite approach of mine back in the day πŸ™‚

            1. Thank you Pat, that is very much my style, you might like to take a look at my two “street” blogs and . The former actually resulted in two books, exhibitions and a short TV doc. An all unplanned and unexpected. This is my love but I also plan to to try my hand at more portraits and more formal work.

Have a wonderful day/evening/ whatever time … where you are πŸ˜€
