Thank you Mara, as it happened, the dog’s human companions were enjoying a cold beer in a cafe on the upper square, and I sensed the dog would rather have been chasing hares…

What a great response to both prompts, you’ve really brought the two subjects together so well, to create something that no one else would have thought of. I think you captured the dog’s voice really well, it made me sad, but good to see that the dog so you beautifully photographed actually enjoys a nice life!

I am doing some serious catching up here. At first I thought the dog looked relaxed/happy, imagined it in a happy place, then I read your poem and now feel really sad, was it cooped up? x
