Independence is something we have to work at, and most importantly, believe in and own it. That photo speaks of emptiness, something which we may feel when something has been taken away from us and we feel it might never come back.

For some reason, this picture reminds me of Loki’s quote from the Avengers, “Freedom is life’s great lie. Once you accept that, in your heart, you will know peace.” We struggle to find the balance, almost, everyday.
