nunca te entregues ni te apartes
junto al camino, nunca digas
no puedo más y aquí me quedo

the road
the road, is long
the road, is long, and the road, is hard
the road, is long, and the road, is hard,
and

full,
of pitfalls,
perils, and
punishment

(for,
the unwary)

and

false,
turns

the road, is long
the road, is long and the road, is hard
the road, is long and the road, is hard
and (yet) it
is

(and,
always will be)

yours,
to

take

road

  1. Hi Andy,

How’re you doing? I love the positive message in your poem here, reassuring that along the road we’ll find something that is solely ours to take. It’s been such a long time since I did this. I’ve just returned to blogging after my degree and was ecstatic to see you still run this. I just whipped this one out quickly tonight, looking forward to writing more.

    1. Hey Jordan, wonderful to see you back here, I hope your studies turned out well, what next for you? After the founder of this challenge decided to bow out I feared a few people would drift away, so imagine how great it feels to see you contributing again! And thank you, hope to see more from you here…

      1. I’m glad to bring a little bit of joy over here! Currently I’m working as an intern/soon to be junior copy editor. Onward and upward and all that. Hope things are going well for you too.

        1. Good luck with that! I’ve made a move into consultancy which is fun, challenging and rewarding, we are at opposite ends of the career spectrum I suspect but I agree, onwards and upwards, it’s best to keep hoping in my view. And working to make those dreams reality.
