we’ve got, a file on you
face(the)book
insta(nt)gra(tification)m
there’s a twitter(ing) in the hedgerow
we’ve got a file on you
pressed for words?
are you ready to take a tumbl(r)e?
not pinterest(ed)?
we’ve got, a file on you
it’s not about you, it’s all about.me
there’s no happy medium
it’s the first stage of lighting a fire
and don’t forget
we’ve got
a
file
on
you

My (late) prompt for this week’s Poetry 101 Rehab is FILE.
So, this week, do you know what they know? About.you? Do you care? Inspired by comments on last week’s post, Apple’s spat with the FBI, and a moment’s reflection. Are we just the kindling for someone else’s fire?
You can link to your post in response to today’s prompt by leaving a comment on my post and / or by clicking on the poetry | 101 | badge below and leaving a link.
And you can also tag your post with Poetry 101 Rehab so that it shows up in the WordPress Reader.
Please feel free to copy and paste the badge across to your own post and your own site 🙂
More information can be found on my poetry | 101 | rehab page.
creepy true, Andy.

I’m afraid so, been absent for a while, hope to be more ‘present’ again now.

this is brilliantly and wickedly well done Andy …… and certainly …. it is controversial …. the idea of “how much is truly secure and safe” – “protected’ etc. and for what reasons …. which makes this all the more provocative and exacting…… it’s important to stop and consider – to seek and search and question …. and then, decide what “truths” we accept for ourselves … and act/react accordingly. Great job!

Thank you, I think we have no real idea what world we are allowing to be created around us. Maybe one day we will wake up to it. Or not?

that’s very true ….. we have no idea what we’re doing …. although we like to think we do …. as for the consequences and aftershocks …. some are immediately obvious – but it’s the subtleties that are harder to know ….

I love this! So disturbing and so true.

Thank you, it disturbs me a little how we are letting all this happen.

It’s housecleaning week, here. Hence, “File Boxes” – http://wp.me/p5BCD4-rZ — Must all the boxes disappear?

Excellent, the image of the landfill is a poetic punch.

And while I may be only fooling myself…this is why I have my blogs under a nome-de-plume.
I will be dragged kicking and screaming into Face’plant’, I’d rather use my IMagination to instantly get satisfaction creating a verse or fiction, I’ll whistle at my birds thank you, and tumble with the grand(children), I could only get on PinterPatter if I joined Faceplant – so I didn’t do that either. I don’t even do ‘Google +’ and even under my given name there isn’t much info that is free… The images site has none of ‘me’ either. Am I safe? Probably not.
Not exactly a file – more of a memory:

Your comment makes a great response in itself, as indeed does your mashup post!
