Better red than dead?

Tall poppy syndrome?

Another brick in the wall?

More than my job’s worth.

Go on,

be one of the crazy ones.

They’re the ones, that change the world.

My (late) prompt for this week’s Poetry 101 Rehab is REVOLUTION.

So, this week, how do you feel when you see injustice? Do you burn with desire to fix it? Do you feel powerless to make things different? Is it someone else’s problem? What does revolution mean to you?

You can link to your post in response to today’s prompt by leaving a comment on my post and / or by clicking on the poetry | 101 | badge below and leaving a link.

And you can also tag your post with Poetry 101 Rehab so that it shows up in the WordPress Reader.

  1. Endless Revolution: http://wp.me/p5BCD4-rv – Perhaps revolutionary activity might be more widespread than we think. Activities to outshine the revolutions of the people on the planet someday.

Outside of general nonconformity, I pretty much confined my “revolutionary” activities to anti-war protests and civil rights marches in the ’60s and ’70s’.

  2. As an introvert and not emotional, but quietly, privately intense, I don’t do well in massive change agent activities, and so I try to be sensitive to more individual needs and injustices where I can do something to help without being…without making it about me.

  3. I’ve got a government file or two on my “revolutionary” activities when I was in my 20s and 30s. Taking your lead, my revolutionary piece is audiovisual. The revolution continues ideologically and violently. How to have one without the other. We need a revolution without blood shed.
