This week’s prompt is DRIVING.
DRIVING
driving miss daisy
driving me crazy
driving miss daisy
driving me crazy
driving miss daisy
driving is crazy
driving miss daisy
i must be crazy
and now,
it’s all gone,
. . . hazy
My starter for ten, entitled DRIVING was inspired by enduring several hours of solo driving.
What will your take on the keyword DRIVING be?
Blog about it in a poetry post and share your link in the comments section of this post and by clicking on the Poetry 101 Badge above.
In response to the prompt “driving”, my thoughts went immediately to driving snow and rains, and so I have written “Refuge” ( http://wp.me/p5BCD4-bQ ). It’s starting point was thoughts about of the items on my “bucket list” when the term first became popular: spending an autumn and winter in an isolated cabin somewhere in the mountains. Not up to it physically anymore, unfortunately.

Not much of a movie goer, but I have at least heard of “Driving Miss Daisy”. I do like the switching of emotional expression as your poem gathers steam. 😀

I only drive locally these days, by myself and with full sun! You have been crazy busy.
I’ll have to look into this Thursday. As I’ll have a house full tomorrow of well just two grandchildren.
But enough to drive this grama crazy!

That image is EXACTLY how it looked while driving the morning after my 26th birthday. I was hung over so bad that I couldn’t anything all day…

I think we’ve all had those kind of days…for example, there was a NYE when I was just 24 when I can’t recall driving home but I did, and by some miracle lived to tell the tale, as did all those poor souls in my path…

I really enjoyed yours, Andy; here’s mine (though it sounds a bit like “dark side Thurs”):

Hmmm sounds like you’ve driven in my neck of the woods a time or two! Driving IS crazy! Here is my metaphorical take (as per usual…) haha! Hold on to your hat! http://motherhendiaries.com/2015/09/19/of-cars-coffee-and-cougars/

This photo is superb, Andy, even considering what it represents. I love it less the endurance (for you)!

Here is my take on this prompt. A little overdue, but I hope, nevertheless, that some people may be able to read and comment on it. https://oudeis2005.wordpress.com/2015/09/23/poetry-rehab-assignment-driving/
